While I have some specialized equipment that I use for making catchpenny books notebooks, none of that equipment is technically necessary to make your own upcycled notebooks. You can make notebooks with any paper (instead of packaging paper), a pen or butter knife handle (instead of a bone folder), a ruler (instead of a cutting board grid), box cutters or scissors (instead of an x-acto blade), a regular stapler (instead of a booklet stapler).
